CommonQuestions
The things clients ask us most, answered plainly and without the sales pitch.
Starting a project
Send us a short note through the contact form. We will arrange a call, ask a lot of questions, and follow up with a written proposal, fee and timeline.
Often. Several of the brands in our work started with us before they had a product on a shelf. We only ask that the founders are closely involved.
We do not take part in free creative pitches. We are happy to meet, talk through our approach and share relevant work before you decide.
Usually four or five at a time, so every client works directly with the founder and a senior designer from start to finish.
Process
Most identities take twelve to sixteen weeks from the first workshop to final files. Packaging, signage and websites add time, and we plan all of it up front.
Expect a workshop at the start, then a review every two weeks. Between reviews we share progress in a single shared folder, so nothing gets lost in email.
Usually two, each developed properly and shown in use. We would rather show two well-considered ideas than six rough ones.
Yes. We regularly design the system and hand it to an internal team, then stay on call for reviews and the occasional difficult piece.
Fees and timing
Every project is quoted as a fixed fee after a first conversation. Identities usually start around twenty thousand euros, and the proposal lists exactly what is included.
A third at the start, a third when the identity is approved, and the rest on delivery of the final files. Printing and photography are quoted separately.
We will tell you before any extra work begins and agree the change in writing. You will never receive a surprise invoice.
After launch
Master logo files, colour and type specifications, templates, print-ready artwork and a set of brand guidelines. You own everything we make for you.
Many clients keep us on a monthly retainer for campaigns, packaging and new products. Others come back once a year for a review. Both work well.
You do. Full rights transfer to you on final payment, including the source files. Licensed typefaces remain subject to their own licences, which we explain up front.
